General responsibilities include:
- Staffing levels
- Raising business critical issues
- Ensuring product quality output is to specification
- Overseeing planned maintenance schedules
- Hygiene, Safety and GMP standards monitoring
- Empowering your Team Leaders who then feed down to their supervisors and so on. Essentially motivating your whole team
- Regular communication with your Production Manager and other Department Managers
- Managing and supporting your Team leaders to take control of their area and responsibility for shift targets within that area

- Managing manning levels in all roles are in line with plans and expectations
- Ensuring staff have the relevant training required for their roles
- Staff appraisals, and when required, other HR related meetings
- Developing your team to their full potential and supporting others who have this responsibility
- Check and pass production plans and targets out to your team
- Check there is the quality and quantity of raw material needed to make target
- Manage and encourage productivity rates across your shift
- Checks that the final output is to specification, completed in full and within the scheduled timescale

Working Hours are 40 hours per week on a rota basis of days and backshift, with every second weekend off. The actual working hours vary on the rota from 06.45 - 14.00, 14.15 - 22.00 and 06.45 - 17.30.
Salary up to £40,000 - £42,000 depending on experience.
